A man has pleaded not guilty to the murder of a delivery driver allegedly hit with his own van.
Christopher Elgifari, 31, appeared before Merthyr Crown Court on Thursday accused of murdering Mark Lang.
The 54-year-old from Cyncoed, died at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff on 15 April, more than two weeks after he suffered serious injuries on North Road, Cardiff.
Mr Lang had been delivering parcels in Laytonia Avenue in the Cathays area of the capital on 28 March when he is alleged to have been hit by his white van.
Elgifari denied one count of murder and also denied robbing Mr Lang's van.
Following Mr Lang's death in April, his family paid tribute to a "good man, with a lot of love to give".
"We've been inundated with nice words and if we noticed it we spoke to him about it," they said in a statement released after his death.
"Assume he was aware of your kind words and very happy to hear them. Mark was a good man, with a lot of love to give. He passed in the early hours of the morning surrounded by family. Peacefully. Comfortably. Loved
"He will be sorely missed."
Elgifari was remanded in custody ahead of a trial set for 25 September.
