Ramsey is taking part in the task to raise money in memory of a six-year-old boy who died from cancer.

Hugh Menai-Davis died in 2021 and his parents set up the charity It's Never You last year which aims to support the families of children affected by cancer.

"Ben Nevis done. One down, couple more to go," he said on his Instagram story on Wednesday afternoon.

The group of hikers, including Hugh Menai-Davis' father Ceri, completed Scafell Pike in the early hours of Thursday morning as they set their sights on Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon).

The three peaks challenge usually involves trekkers ascending the three highest mountains in the nations of Scotland, England and Wales in anywhere from 24 hours to three days.

It has been a busy week for Ramsey after he led his country out in two Euro qualifiers against Armenia on Friday and Turkey on Monday.

Two defeats from two for Wales mean the path to qualify for Euro 2024 in Germany will now prove more difficult for the Dragons.

Questions remain about his club future after he vowed to be closer to his family when his contract with Ligue 1 side Nice comes to an end next month.

"The most challenging thing is being away from my family so that's the situation I find myself in but other than that there's a lot of positives that I've taken out of that," he told reporters earlier this month.

"Seeing the kids growing up and things like that, missing out on certain things, it's always difficult."
