50 Cent announces new tour dates in Australia and New Zealand

50 Cent has announced he will be going to Australia and New Zealand as part of his The Final Lap tour.

The rapper, who is also known as Curtis Jackson, made the announcement on social media on Wednesday and said he was "excited" to perform in the region in December.

He wrote: "Australia and New Zealand, you're up next!

"I'm excited to announce THE FINAL LAP TOUR celebrating GET RICH OR DIE TRYIN' - 20 YEARS LATER with special guests is coming your way this December!

"Tickets on sale Thursday 8 June 2023, at 2pm local, lock yours in."

Jackson will be on tour this year to celebrate 20 years of his 2003 debut album Get Rich or Die Tryin'.

The album became the biggest rap album of that year and one of the best-selling debuts.

It also featured Eminem and Young Buck, and peaked at number one on the Billboard 200.

The celebrate the album's success, the tour is set to kick off on 21 July this year and will include some "special guests."

Tickets for the shows in Australia and New Zealand will go on sale on 8 June and can be purchased via 50 Cent's official website.

Earlier this year, the Grammy-winning rapper also announced plans to create a "modern" version of Eminem's 8 Mile film.

In an interview with Big Boy TV, he said: "I'm going to bring [Eminem's] 8 Mile to television.

"I want to show and offer a lot more details, things that you would say in an interview or different things that you put out there.

"You'll see those things surface in the temperament of the characters," he added.
