Jack O'Sullivan: Mum appeals to find son who went missing on night out in Bristol

April 04, 2024

A Welsh mum has appealed for her son to come home over a month since he was last seen.

Jack O'Sullivan, who turned 23 last week, has been missing since Saturday 2 March.

He was last seen in the Brunel Lock Road/Brunel Way area of Bristol at around 3.15am.

His mum Catherine, originally from Neath, said "we really need to find him".

Police say Mr O'Sullivan had been on a night out with friends when he went missing.

He is described as white, around 5ft 10ins, with a slim build and short, brown hair.

At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a quilted green/brown Barbour jacket, a beige woollen jumper, navy chinos and brown leather trainers with white soles.

Senior investigating officer DI Jason Chidgey said it was a "difficult and distressing time for Jack's family and friends".

"If you live in the area and have CCTV or video doorbells, please check back to Saturday 2 March and see if you notice anything or anyone meeting Jack's description," he said.

"The smallest bit of information could make a huge difference in our investigation so, even if you don't think it is important, we encourage people to still get in touch with us."

DI Chidgey said police are keeping an open mind about where Mr O'Sullivan is but added that his disappearance was "very out of character for him".

Detectives have been looking at Mr O'Sullivan's phone and why it was active after his last confirmed sighting.
