January 09, 2024

A murder investigation has been launched after a man was stabbed to death at Strawberry Hill railway station in Twickenham.

A 16-year-old boy who was found nearby a short time later with a leg injury after being stabbed is among four people who have been arrested in relation to the man's death.

The British Transport Police has said officers were called to the station in southwest London at 11.53pm last night where a man in his 20s was found with a "serious injury consistent with being stabbed".

Metropolitan Police officers and the London Ambulance Service also attended before the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

British Transport Police Detective Chief Inspector Sam Blackburn said: "This is a senseless act of violence which has seen the tragic death of a young man. This investigation remains in the early stages and the station will remain closed while we continue our enquiries."
