Police have charged a man following the death of Chris Marriott in a crash in Sheffield.
Mr Marriott, 46, had been out for a walk with his wife and two young sons on Wednesday afternoon in the Burngreave area of the city when he was hit by a car.
He was among a group of people - including an off-duty midwife - who had stopped to help a woman lying unconscious in the street at the time of the collision.
A police spokesman said the off-duty midwife suffered minor injuries, another man received serious injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening and four further people, three women and a man, suffered minor injuries.
Hassan Jhangur, 23, from Sheffield, has since been charged with murder and five counts of attempted murder.
He will appear before magistrates on Saturday.
Mr Marriott was a member of a church and worked for the charity Community Money Advice.
He also volunteered at a food bank in Sheffield.
The church group ChristCentral said in a statement that everyone was "deeply shocked" by his death.
In a tribute released through South Yorkshire Police, his family described him as a "wonderful husband, dad, brother, uncle - and friend to many".
They added: "Chris was also a man of faith who wanted others to also experience the joy he had found trusting in Jesus.
"We take comfort in these most difficult of times in our belief that he is with his Lord and Saviour, while we mourn his loss."
