England defender Alex Greenwood was given oxygen by medical staff on the pitch before being carried off on a stretcher after a clash of heads during a Nations League match against Belgium.
The collision occurred only 20 minutes into the game in Leuven at the King Power De Dreef Stadium, which the Lionesses lost 3-2.
Manchester City defender Greenwood received medical attention on the field for around 10 minutes - including oxygen treatment, according to Sky Sports News - before being placed on a stretcher and taken off.
She was given a standing ovation by fans as she left the field.
Chelsea player Jess Carter came on as her replacement.
Belgium forward, Jassina Blom, was given a head bandage and allowed to continue playing.
Reporting on the injury, Sky Sports' Charlotte Marsh said: "Blom is being taped up and has walked over to the bench, but Greenwood is surrounded by doctors and paramedics, with the stretcher and oxygen on for the England defender.
"Here is hoping this is all done with the abundance of caution and it is not a long-term injury for Greenwood, who has been superb for England this year."

In an update, the Lionesses' official X account said Greenwood was "conscious and talking" after the incident.
"(She) is being monitored by our medical staff," the statement read.
A goal down at the time of the incident, the Lionesses managed to briefly turn the game in their favour, with goals from Lucy Bronze and Fran Kirby.
Belgium captain Tessa Wullaert then scored, leaving the teams neck and neck by half-time.
A late penalty awarded to Belgium then allowed Wullaert to beat England goalkeeper Mary Earps to seal victory for the home side.
