A swimmer who disappeared after reportedly being attacked by a shark remains missing.
The man, who has not been named, disappeared on Wildcat Beach in northern California on Sunday morning.
The US Coast Guard confirmed it called off a search for him yesterday morning.
Coast Guard petty officer Hunter Schnabel said: "We didn't find the individual so there's no way for us to confirm whether or not it was a shark attack."
