The 20-month-old child was bitten by a dog in Greenwich on Monday morning. Police were called just after 10am and attended with paramedics.

The child was taken to hospital where his injuries were assessed as not life-threatening or life-changing.

Thomas Ackah, 29, was charged with being in charge of a dangerously out of control dog.

The dog was reported to be an XL Bully, but the Met Police said further tests were required to confirm this.
