Amy Rose Wilson: Second man charged with murder after woman, 27, killed in Falkirk car crash

September 04, 2023

A second man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a woman who died in a car crash in Falkirk.

Amy Rose Wilson was pronounced dead at the scene following a two-vehicle collision on New Carron Road in July.

Police Scotland said last month they were treating the 27-year-old's death as murder.

Anthony Davidson, 30, was arrested in London and made no plea to the murder charge when he appeared at Falkirk Sheriff Court on Monday.

Davidson has also been accused of attempted murder, assault, attempted robbery, conspiracy, attempting to defeat the ends of justice, threatening or abusive behaviour, vandalism, having a blade in public, and carrying an offensive weapon.

He was remanded in custody and is due back in the dock within the next eight days.

Two men have already appeared in court in connection with the case.

Andrew Gregoire, 27, was arrested in London and is also facing the same 10 charges as Davidson, including murder.

Steven Hornsby, 53, was arrested in Essex and has been accused of conspiracy and attempting to defeat the ends of justice.

The pair made no plea to the charges and were remanded in custody when they appeared at Falkirk Sheriff Court on Friday. They are expected back in court within eight days.

The fatal incident took place around 6.10pm on Saturday 29 July.

Ms Wilson, from Bo'ness, was driving a silver Vauxhall Vectra when it collided with a black Volkswagen Tiguan.

A 22-year-old male passenger was taken to hospital for treatment, while the other driver also suffered minor injuries.

A black C-Class Mercedes left the scene and was later recovered abandoned.

Following the arrest and charge of the latest suspect, Detective Chief Inspector Susan Balfour said: "Our enquiries are ongoing to trace all the occupants of the Mercedes and I would ask anyone with information to get in touch."
