Jacob Davies, 22, attacked the girls in Orkney between 2018 and 2021.

Judge Lord Arthurson said of the rape victim: "I have read her impact statement and make no mistake, the effect of your crimes upon her has been utterly devastating."

Davies also assaulted one of his other victims to the danger of her life.

Davies was found guilty at the High Court in Inverness last month. He was sentenced at the High Court in Glasgow on Thursday.

Lord Arthurson said: "I note from the criminal justice social work report which has been prepared for today's sentencing hearing that you continue to deny the charges against you, as is your right.

"It is equally incumbent on the court to note however your victim blaming behaviour and lack of victim empathy."

The judge noted that Davies had a "diagnosis of adult autism spectrum disorder".

He was said to be an "intelligent young man with considerable IT skills" but was also described as a "highly vulnerable young adult".

Lord Arthurson highlighted Davies was deemed a "high risk" of sexual reconviction.

As well as the six-year jail term, Davies will be supervised for a further three years on his release.

He was placed on the sex offenders' register indefinitely.

Detective Constable David Armes said: "Davies took advantage of his victims over a number of years and will now face the consequences of his actions in prison.

"The females involved in this case were incredibly brave to come forward and our thoughts remain with them.

"I hope [Thursday's] sentencing will give them some comfort and closure after all they have suffered.

"We remain committed to supporting victims of sexual crimes and thoroughly investigating those responsible by bringing them to justice, no matter how much time has passed.

"I would urge people to come forward to police and report it. They can be assured of being fully supported by officers and partner agencies."
