The 20-year-old was forced to miss the French Open and Wimbledon following operations on both wrists and one ankle at the beginning of May.

The sports star has been rehabilitating over the last few weeks but was seen back on the court again for the first time since the procedures at the National Tennis Centre in Roehampton, southwest London, on Wednesday.

In a video posted on Instagram, the US Open winner who has been dogged by injuries since her 2021 triumph in New York, could be seen training with Kyle Edmund, a fellow former British number one.

Raducanu wrote: "August 2nd, THE FUN PART. 1st time back on court."

However, the world number 133 is unlikely to be fit for this year's US Open which begins later this month.

Raducanu has had a tumultuous season so far, losing to American Coco Gauff in the second round of the Australian Open in January.

She bagged a last 16 spot at the prestigious Indian Wells in March, which was followed by first-round defeats at Miami and Stuttgart, and has not played a tournament since then.

Raducanu pulled out of the Madrid Open in April just hours before she was due on court, and a day after a news conference where she refused to be drawn on questions about her fitness.

She is currently without a coach after parting ways with Sebastian Sachs - her fifth coach in under two years.
