A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a two-year-old boy was hit by a train in Glasgow.
Emergency services were called to Garrowhill railway station after the alarm was raised about two casualties on the tracks at around 7.30pm on Sunday.
A 26-year-old man and the toddler were taken to the city's Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment to injuries sustained from being hit by a train.
British Transport Police (BTP) described the child's injuries as "minor" and it is believed he will make a "full recovery".
The man, who is said to be in a "non-life-threatening condition", was arrested on Monday night on suspicion of attempted murder. He remains in hospital under police observation.
Detective Chief Inspector Marc Francey said: "This was a shocking but isolated incident and we are not looking for anyone else in connection.
"Specially trained officers are supporting the young boy's family and it is thankfully now believed he will make a full recovery.
"Our investigation continues to establish the full circumstances of the incident and we are making a number of enquiries.
"I would urge anyone who may have witnessed what happened and hasn't already spoken to police to contact BTP."
