Woman, 35, accused of murdering man in Aberdeen appears in court

A woman has appeared in court charged with the murder of a man in Aberdeen.

Police were called in the early hours of Monday after a man's body was found in a property.

Officers attended and Neil Jolly, 49, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detective Inspector William Murdoch said: "Our thoughts are very much with Neil's family and friends, as well as everyone else affected by his death.

"We are providing his family with support at this difficult time.

"Our investigation into this incident remains ongoing."

A woman was arrested and charged in connection with the incident and appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Tuesday.

The 35-year-old from Aberdeen - who cannot be named for legal reasons - did not enter a plea to the single murder charge.

She was remanded in custody and is due back in court within the next eight days.
