A 15-year-old boy has died after getting into difficulty in the sea off a Welsh beach.
Emergency services were called to reports of a boy in the sea at Aberavon Beach, Port Talbot, on Monday evening.
South Wales Police Chief inspector Richard Haines said: "A 15-year-old boy was located and despite the best efforts of members of the public and emergency services he sadly passed away."

A coastguard spokesperson said it coordinated a response after a report of someone in difficulty in the water at Aberavon beach" shortly after 7pm on Monday.
A coastguard helicopter, a Port Talbot RNLI lifeboat, Port Talbot and Porthcawl coastguard rescue teams were involved in the operation.
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said they were called to reports of a "medical emergency" at Mariners Quay.
The service sent one emergency ambulance, two rapid response vehicles, a duty operations manager and the Wales Air Ambulance also supported the emergency response.
