Bacari Ogarro, who uses the name "Mizzy" online, has been widely criticised after videos of him circulated on social media.

The Metropolitan Police now say they are trying to track down the 18-year-old, from Hackney, north London.

One video showed Mr Ogarro and others walk through the open door of an affluent house while the family was at home and film a "tour" of the premises.

He begins the video by saying: "Walking into random houses, let's go", before he and two other people walk into the home.

He and the others are confronted by a man in the house and ask where the "study group" is being held.

They then leave - but not before Mr Ogarro briefly sits on the sofa. A young child can be heard in the background.

Sky News has chosen not to show the home or the apparent victim.

In a statement the police said: "Attempts are currently being made by officers from the Central East Command Unit to locate the man so that he can be dealt with for a suspected breach of a Community Protection Notice issued last May."

Detective Chief Superintendent James Conway of the force's Central East Command Unit, responsible for policing in Hackney and Tower Hamlets, added: "We are aware that this video has been widely shared both on social and mainstream media, and understand the concern caused by its content.

"I would like to reassure the public that we are taking the matter very seriously and are conducting an investigation, including enquiries to locate the man seen in the video.

"We have spoken with the homeowners and will continue to liaise with them in regards to our action on this matter."

Police are also checking other videos made by Mr Ogarro.

In one uploaded to his now deleted TikTok account, he filmed himself walking up to an elderly woman sitting with her dog in a park before picking up the animal and appearing to running away with it.

Other clips show him seeming to enter a man's car claiming it is "his Uber", pester people on a train, rip up books in a library and ride an e-bike through a branch of Sainsbury's.

Speaking to the Independent Mr Ogarro said he apologised to the homeowner the next day because he felt "sympathy and remorse" adding that he "wouldn't do that again."

He says that in other videos seeming victims were in on the prank.
