Police Scotland were called to a property in the city's Sunnyside Road on Monday morning following a report of concern for a person.

The body of a woman was found inside.

A 43-year-old man was later arrested in the Scotstown Road area in connection with the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said officers were first called at 10.40am on Monday, with the arrest taking place at around 3.20pm on the same day.

The force said enquiries are continuing and officers remain at the scene.
