Boy, 11, who died after bus collision in Bolton is named by police

Police have named an 11-year-old boy who died after he was involved in a collision with a bus while riding his bike.

Lucas Ashton was pronounced dead at the scene following the incident in Bolton, Greater Manchester, on Friday.

His family have released a picture of the boy.

Greater Manchester Police specialist officers are supporting his family and loved ones.

The driver of the bus remained at the scene and the force said the driver "continues to assist officers with their enquiries".

No arrests have been made at this time.

Officers have appealed to members of the public - particularly those who were on the bus - to make contact with the police.
