Paul Robson: Sex offender arrested by police after absconding from HMP North Sea Camp

February 15, 2022

A dangerous on-the-run sex offender has been arrested in Skegness by police following a public appeal.

Paul Robson, who is serving a life sentence for attempted rape and indecent assault, was reported missing from HMP North Sea Camp in Boston, Lincolnshire, on Sunday.

Police issued a detailed description of the 56-year-old and urged anyone with information on his whereabouts to call 999.

At the time Robson went missing, Lincolnshire Police warned: "If you do see him, please do not try to approach him, or try to apprehend him yourself. He poses a real risk to the public."

Newcastle-born Robson was jailed for life in 2000 after he crawled into a woman's home through her cat flap and attacked her while holding a knife to her throat.
