Tom Brady retiring from NFL after 22 seasons and seven Super Bowl wins

January 29, 2022

Seven-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback Tom Brady is retiring from the NFL after 22 seasons.

It marks the end of a remarkable career across which Brady claimed records for all-time passing yards, touchdown passes and Pro Bowl selections while picking up three MVP awards and never having a losing season alongside his three Super Bowl rings during his time with the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Brady, who was selected 199th overall by the Patriots at the 2000 NFL Draft, had previously expressed his desire to play in the NFL at the age of 45.

He departs as arguably the greatest to play the sport.

Brady's company TB12sports tweeted to thank the 44-year-old for his career, confirming his retirement.
