This summer will see the return of the popular Have a Field Days in Hornsea and Withernsea.

Created by East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s Destinations and Active Communities Teams, the Have a Field Day events give residents and visitors the opportunity to take part in a day of outdoor fun, adventure, sport, and learning.

Taking place from 11am until 3pm at Graingers Field, Hornsea, on Thursday, 3 August and The Memorial and Valley Gardens, Withernsea, on Thursday, 10 August, these dates promise to bring a free day of fun for all the family.

Families will be able to enjoy the hugely popular inflatables including Free Fall and Penalty Shootout, try out the Climbing Wall, join in with multi-sports and fitness sessions, test out their cycling ability, have a go at volleyball, marvel at the creativity of land art, and get involved with lots more great activities from local partners.

Councillor Nick Coultish, portfolio holder for culture, leisure and tourism, said: “Our previous Have a Field Day events have always proved very popular and I have no doubt they will be so again in 2023. They are a great way to involve the community and help them to celebrate the great outdoors, with fun, activities, and learning, all on their doorstep. Come along and have a great time!”
