Users reported not being able to use the internet following outages in the evening. There had been issues in the morning too.

One user on X wrote: "I have a phone that won't work for anything if I turn off my WiFi and I need to leave for work soon."

Another said: "Is there something up with #skymobile… having issues this morning and don't know why."

Downdetector, which measures outages, showed thousands of people had reported issues.

A total of 79% of those users reported problems with their phones, while 20% had issues accessing the internet and 2% had problems with their TV.

Sky Mobile acknowledged an issue on X on Thursday morning and it was later fixed.

However, Sky Mobile later posted to say it was aware customers were facing further problems.

Just after 6pm, it said: "We are aware that some Sky Mobile customers are experiencing issues with their 3G/4G/5G services.

"We are investigating the issue and we are sorry for any inconvenience this may be causing."
