Seaside FM has spent a fun day at the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, and you can hear our best bits here!

Dougie recounts his time trying out driving a train, as we arrive at North Yorkshire Moors Railway in Pickering before heading to Goathland.

Luke from North Yorkshire Moors Railway tells us about the special weekend celebrating 50 years of public services, recreating the very first trip using the same two locomotives which ran on that day, and featuring two of the same crew members!

We're at Pickering Station, and chat to Luke about the importance of volunteers (they have over 900 of them!).

We speak to Phil, one of the youngest members at North Yorkshire Moors Railway, who's chuffed that they are back up and running! He's been a member since the age of 11!

We chat to Geoff, the Station Foreman, and find out about his role.

We chat to Massie, the Learning & Interpretation Officer, whilst stopping off in Goathland, and find out about her work with school & family groups, and exhibitions within the Education Team.

We're at Goathland with John, who's been a member for the last 50 years!

Paul, Director of Mechanical Engineering, has a chat to us about their engines and locomotives. He started as an apprentice back in 1996!

We speak to Nick, the Shed Manager, about his role looking after 10 steam engines and 5 diesel engines.

We're back in Pickering and reflect on a fantastic day out!
