For over a week there have been issues on Southcliff Road in Withernsea following the water burst.

Yorkshire Water are operating 12 lorries a day over 24 hours until they can resolve the issue.

They have issued the following statement:

“We’ve had some issues with one of our rising mains in the area, which means we need to tanker sewage between the site and Withernsea wastewater treatment works. The repair is quite a complicated one, as it is deep in the ground and requires extensive investigation before it can be fully resolved. We know the increased traffic can be inconvenient and apologise for any disruption. We’re working hard to get the fix complete as soon as possible so that we’re able to remove the tankering operation.”

We understand the works will be completed tonight (13th May 2021).

Seaside FM will bring you latest on this as soon as we have more.
