The Withernsea Centre in Queen Street will be hosting a free event by author Adam Farrer, who grew up in the town.

On Saturday, 17 June at 10.30am, Adam will be talking about his first book, ‘Cold Fish Soup’. He will be discussing the book and reading extracts from it, and will also answer questions. Signed copies will be available to purchase.

The book has been described by one reviewer as 'a love letter to Withernsea and all the people in it, its crumbling cliffs, its strange beauties and its losses'.

Adam Farrer is a writer, a lecturer and the editor of the creative nonfiction journal The Real Story. In 2019 he became the inaugural Writer in Residence for Peel Park, Salford.
