Sewerby Hall and Gardens has now officially entered its winter season, offering lots of ideas for a great trip out.

The grounds and all the gardens are open seven days a week, free of charge, an ideal opportunity to enjoy some fresh air. The zoo is also open daily – admission charges apply.

The house itself is now open at weekends only throughout the autumn and winter, apart from during the Sewerby Winter Woodland event, when it will also be open daily, as well as during the school Christmas holidays and February half term. The house is presented as an Edwardian Country house, circa 1910, with rooms furnished with impressive pieces from the Victoria and Albert Museum, as well as other important collections.

The Clock Tower Café is also open daily, offering a good selection of hot and cold food and drinks.

Winter admission prices for the zoo are:  £4 for adults / £3 children/ £13 for a family of two adults and two children. Prices for the house only when it is open are the same. Combined tickets (house and zoo) are also available when appropriate: £7 adults / £5 children / £22 for a family.

Visitors are reminded that tickets are selling fast for the Sewerby Winter Woodland event, from 9 – 23 December, an all new spectacular display of lights, sounds and special effects, bringing the grounds to life for a great evening out this festive season.
