Withernsea Town Council has secured a £3000 Yorkshire Coast BID grant toward the installation of additional equipment to provide a new Christmas Lighting display in Valley Gardens, Withernsea.
The installation will provide new infrastructure by fitting high level sockets and new figurines to the lamp posts to provide a new Christmas lighting display in the gardens. This will not only complement the ‘Christmas in the Valley ‘ event planned for 3rd December 2022 but will also make it possible for other lighting displays to be possible throughout the year, such as summer illuminations.
Withernsea Town Clerk, Jayne Moxon said ‘We are working with other partners in the town to develop the events offer in the town. We are very grateful to have this project sponsored by Yorkshire Coast BID, their funding will help us get what we need to move forward with new projects that we have planned for the future in a sustainable way’. The installation will be in ready for the Christmas in the Valley event on 3rd December 2022 and will remain in place over the festive period.
