Withernsea RNLI will feature in the latest series of the BBC’s Saving Lives at Sea.
In the latest episode on Tuesday 15th September at 8pm on BBC Two, viewers will see the crew responding to reports of a person stranded at the base of a cliff during high tide, with the incoming sea leaving them unable to make their way back to safety.
Withernsea RNLI volunteer crew members give an insight into the rescue and what happens when the pager sounds.
Using real rescue footage and interviews with those involved, Saving Lives at Sea showcases the teamwork, training and commitment of RNLI volunteers responding to emergencies around the UK and Ireland.
