Two winter memorial services will be held at Lelley Fields Crematorium in Sproatley Road, Preston.
The events will be in the building’s Oak Hall on Saturday 13 December and Thursday 18 December, both starting at 6pm.
The free events are a chance for people to remember and pay their respects to the people who mattered most to them.
Those attending will be invited to add people’s names or short messages on to paper leaves, which will be hung on a special memorial tree inside the hall.
At a later date, the leaves – infused with wildflower seeds – will be planted in the crematorium grounds, where they will grow into a lasting wildflower display.
The names and photographs of people being remembered can also be displayed on a television screen in the hall.
The services are free and open to anyone, regardless of whether they have used the services of the crematorium before.
Places at the winter memorial services are limited and people are asked to book in advance at lelleyfields@eastriding.gov.uk or on 01482 392910.
