Three weeks of roadworks in Winestead

Roadworks will soon begin in Winestead near Patrington.

East Riding of Yorkshire Council will invest around £200,000 to improve Bydales Lane between the junction with Cross Lane and the railway crossing.

The project will begin on Monday 3 November and is expected to take up to three weeks to complete. Work will be carried out in the daytime.

The improvements will involve resurfacing the road, structural patching, and upgrading the existing passing places

As part of the scheme, the triangular island at the junction will be removed and the layout realigned to improve traffic flow.

During the work, the road will be closed to all through traffic with a signed diversion route in place via Winestead Lane, Chantry Lane, Arables Lane, Arables and Frodingham Lane.

Access to properties within the area will be maintained throughout.

The works will be carried out by the council’s own road maintenance team.
