Public want burglary and dangerous driving to be Humberside Police priorities

The Humberside Police and Crime Commissioner has thanked residents who completed the Police and Crime Plan survey.

The findings will help shape the Commissioner’s priorities over the next two years.

The survey had over 4,000 responses, the highest response rate in the past five years. The top five priorities of the local people were found to be:

  • Burglary
  • Dangerous driving
  • Drug-related crime
  • Nuisance Antisocial Behaviour (ASB)
  • Knife/Weapon enabled violence

Other key insights from the survey included:

  • Nearly two-thirds of respondents were either confident or very confident in Humberside Police.
  • Just over seven-in-ten of respondents perceived that levels of ASB had increased from the previous year
  • 55% of respondents perceived that levels of crime had increased from the previous year.
