Humberside Police is recruiting Marine Special Constables.
Individuals would as volunteer police officers, eventually progressing into the specialist Marine Unit.
The force has provided the following list of requirements:
- Have previous experience in the maritime environment, ideally with existing RYA / MCA qualifications relating to navigation, safety and crew operations
- Can pass an annual fitness test to 7.2 MSFT or equivalent and complete and annual swim test
- Can pass an ENG1 Maritime Medical Certificate
- Are willing to join Humberside Police as a Special Constable first and foremost and then once you have completed training and become a fully competent officer with Independent Patrol Status, you will then specialise to be a Marine Special Constable
- Can commit to the role for a minimum of 16 hours per month
