Humberside Police’s ‘Operation Coastline’ returns with what the force calls “a renewed focus on keeping our seaside communities safe, welcoming and enjoyable for everyone”.
Officers will be out in greater visibility across key locations, supporting residents, businesses and visitors. The emphasis remains on early intervention, prevention and reassurance.
The increase in visitor numbers can sometimes lead to challenges, including antisocial behaviour and opportunistic offences. Operation Coastline brings together local policing teams and partner agencies to address these issues proactively, with a particular focus on the busiest areas over peak periods.
Superintendent Paul French said:
“Our priority is simple. We want people to feel safe and be able to enjoy our coastal communities and resorts.
“Operation Coastline is about being visible, approachable, and working with our partners to prevent incidents and deal with concerns early.
“By focusing on reassurance and early intervention, we can make a difference to those who live, work, and visit here.
“This operation builds on work already underway, delivering tangible results including tackling road safety issues, addressing antisocial behaviour, and taking action against those causing harm.
“We look forward to sharing regular updates on our activity and results over the weeks and months ahead.”
