The East Riding of Yorkshire Council dog warden team have launched a new facebook page to help unite lost dogs with their owners.
The page will have photos of the dog and any other relevant details.
Not all dogs will be posted, so residents are encouraged to get in touch if they have lost a dog.
Proof of ownership is required in order to retrieve any dogs in the council’s possession.
