East Riding manufacturers to share in digital innovation funding

A further £2.4m of government money has been made available to support Yorkshire and Humber’s digital ambitions.

Since 2021, the “Made Smarter Yorkshire and Humber” programme has supported more than 700 Yorkshire manufacturing businesses to take up digital adoption projects to improve efficiency and productivity.

The programme has also offered specialist digital advice and roadmaps, as well as grants, technical project support, and senior digital change management training.

With new funding, this package of support will also include access to digital internships, wider digital change management training, and more project funding opportunities. Leadership training, organisational workforce development and digital internships will be delivered by Sheffield Hallam University. Digital roadmaps and intensive technical support will be delivered by RTC North.

The South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority will deliver the Made Smarter programme across the whole of Yorkshire in 2025 and 2026.
