The Humberside Police Roads Policing Unit are back on TV for the latest series of Channel 5’s ‘Motorway Cops: Catching Britain’s Speeders’.
Camera crews have been following the officers as they respond to a range of incidents across the Force area and identify those responsible for crimes committed on our roads.
Chief Inspector Will Jenkins from the Special Operations Unit said: “We have been thrilled to take part in this series and give our communities an insight into the hard work and dedication our teams do every day to keep them safe.
“Being part of this show has given us a fantastic opportunity to show the large range of incidents our Roads Policing Unit respond to, from catching speeding and drink drivers, to arresting wanted people and attending serious collisions.
“Across the series, it’s clear that the team really do stop at nothing to seek out criminals and keep our roads safe, as well as dealing with the challenges and complexities of policing that our officers face on a daily basis.
“As much as the programmes show that no two days are the same policing our roads, it also showcases who we are as people, and I hope this and the passion we have for our job’s shines through as the public get to know the teams throughout the episodes.”
