Main political parties confirm Mayoral Election candidates

The main political parties have announced their candidates for the Hull and East Yorkshire Mayoral election on May 1st.

The deadline for other candidates to confirm their intention to stand is 4pm on April 2nd.

As of Friday 28th February, the full list of candidates for the election is as follows:


Conservative Party : Anne Handley (the current Leader of East Riding of Yorkshire Council)

Green Party: Kerry Harrison (Green Party candidate for Kingston upon Hull North and Cottingham at the last General Election)

Labour Party : Margaret Pinder (the former mayor of Beverley and Labour Party candidate for the Beverley and Holderness constituency at the last General Election)

Liberal Democrats : Mike Ross (the current Leader of Hull City Council)

Reform UK: Luke Campbell (former professional boxer from Hull, London 2012 Olympic gold medallist)

Yorkshire Party : Rowan Halstead (Yorkshire Party candidate for Kingston upon Hull North and Cottingham at the last General Election)
