Hornsea play areas to benefit from Commuted Sums

 Hornsea Town Council have been awarded £34,000.00 from East Riding of Yorkshire Council as part of Commuted Sums to install accessible play equipment into to play areas in Hornsea.

Hornsea Town Council will also contribute £2,503.20 towards the £36,503.20 total project cost.

Two accessible roundabouts and access paths will be installed in Hall Garth Park and Jefferson Park play areas.

Joanna Richardson, Clerk to Hornsea Town Council, said “The Town Council would like to sincerely thank East Riding of Yorkshire Council and North Holderness Ward Council members, Councillor Jefferson and Councillor Whittle, for their support with this project.”

Councillor Gary McMaster, the council’s cabinet member for planning, housing and infrastructure said “I am very pleased that the award of Commuted Sums will be able to help with the installation of the all-inclusive play equipment and benefit the residents of Hornsea greatly. The addition of sensory play panels along the pathways will also be a good added extra. This award will make a real difference in Hornsea and will improve this area.”
