Road improvements are due to be carried out later this month in the village of Burstwick, in the Holderness area.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council is set to begin patching repairs in Main Street from Monday 21 February for one week – during the half term holiday.
Repairs are due to be carried out at various locations along the road that week, between the junction of Appleby Lane and where Main Street becomes Hariff Lane.
The work is due to be complete by Friday 25 February.
As there are narrow areas of the road, Main Street will be closed to traffic, with a signed diversion in place during the day.
However, buses will run as normal.
Access will be maintained for residents, business owners and the emergency services.
The work will be carried out by the council’s own highways maintenance team.
Cllr Chris Matthews, the council’s portfolio holder for environment and climate change, said: “I want to thank residents and motorists for their patience while this work is carried out, but this scheme will only be for a short time and I’m sure they will be pleased the repairs are being done.”
