East Riding Leisure Withernsea will be hosting Active Wednesdays from this week (7 July).

In conjunction with the new Withernsea 'Little Bus' service, which will have an extended service on Wednesdays, Active Wednesdays will offer many activities, from swimming through to sessions for those with health conditions, and much more! The new Active Wednesdays are being run as a partnership with Active Withernsea.

Activities will include a Withernsea Walk (every Wednesday at 9.30 from East Riding Leisure Withernsea); Body Balance; Aqua Fit; Body Pump; Escape  Pain sessions; Aqua Mobility; Junior Gym; swimming lessons; and sessions for those wanting to get back to sport or play, and those with long term conditions.

Councillor Mike Medini, portfolio holder for cultural and leisure assets, said : “Active Wednesdays will be a great chance for people in the area to try out and enjoy leisure activities, which we hope will lead to happier and healthier lives. I hope that lots of local residents will get involved.”

The new 'Little Bus' runs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, with an extended service on Wednesday afternoons.

The council’s leisure service contributed extra funding to extend the Wednesday service to enable residents to access new health and wellbeing activities at East Riding Leisure Withernsea.
