Funding available for East Riding youth projects

Applications are open for the ‘Our Place’ Youth Fund, designed to support community groups, charities, and youth projects throughout the East Riding. It serves as part of the Do it for East Yorkshire Community Grant (DIFEY), funded by East Riding of Yorkshire Council.

A total of £100,000 is available for initiatives aimed at benefiting young people in the area, with applications open until noon on Monday 13 July.

Applications are invited for projects scheduled to run from Tuesday 1 Sept 2026 – Wednesday 30 June 2027, specifically targeting youth-related initiatives and organisations that work with or support young people.

Grants of between £1,500 and £5,000 per group are available, or up to £10,000 for small capital projects. It aims to support new or additional activity, designed around the five pillars of youth work which are ‘Educative, Expressive, Participative, Inclusive and Empowering’

These pillars guide how youth workers build relationships, create learning opportunities, and support young people’s development.  

Constituted voluntary and community groups, registered charities, not-for-profit companies, community interest companies, youth groups and faith-based organisations are eligible to apply for funding.
