Liberty Stands on The Mike Brown Radio Show

Howdy!
I can't even start to tell you how hot and sweaty it was in the Seaside FM studio this Sunday, it was so hot that one of the mini disc players decided to randomly stop and start and typically it would only do this when I was visiting the little boys room!
On my way into the studios I noticed that in Valley Gardens there was a country singer on and there was a mass crowd of old dears watching, some were line dancing! Why am I telling you this? Well, Withernsea Town Council seem to but an event on in the gardens every week so I thought wouldn't it be a great idea to present the show from there? I could line up a comedian and a rock band and see if they could line dance to that! Well, it's only fair that all ages and all styles of music are represented isn't it? I reckon my guests this week would have gone down well!
On the show this week, 'I welcomed Scott and Craig from The Liberty Stands'. Scott plays guitar and Craig is lead vocalist and also plays guitar with this relitively new local group. The other members are Nathan who plays drums and Dann who sings and plays bass.
The band describe their music as “melodic indie rock, fused with catchy guitar riffs and head-splitting lyrics” and their influences come from a wide range of guitar heros including The Stones, The Kinks, The Beatles, The Doors, Motley Crue, Stone Roses, My Chemical Romance... and Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin for some reason!
During the interview, I got the pair to do some acoustic tracks for us. I have to take my hat off to the boys, particularly Craig as he continued to play on after one of his guitar strings snapped! They simply looked at each other, smirked and then played on, youv'e got to admire their proffesionalism!
So, if you want to see the whole group live, then they are performing at The Piper's 'Big Day In' on 3rd August, and then again on 12th August Sharkey's Mugwump night.
I wish the boys the best of luck and thank them for coming in to the studio.
