Silverstone, Hello and Team Three - This Weeks Blog!!

Hello.

Isn't Hello a great word? It can be used as a normal greeting - Hello. A really over the top, cheesy greeting - Hello!!!! Or as a means of expressing suprise - Hello! - Excellent.

Difficult to get the differences across here, admittedly, but you get the idea. Maybe I'll take you through it on the show on Sunday, or maybe not.

Anyway, it's not about any of that. Thank you to Andy for covering for me whilst I was away at Silverstone last week. I won't go on about it apart from saying that it was a great day, if a little wet and the excellent organisation of it all made me quite sad that they've taken it away from the circuit after next year. If you ask me, surely the better solution would be to allow Donington and Silverstone to alternate and host the British Grand Prix every other year, that's what they do in Germany and Japan and they are infinitely better for it. But what do I know.

Watched a film called Wrong Turn last night, a decent horror film if you like that kind of thing. Six people being attacked in the woods by a grooup of inbred, cannibals. Good family entertainment. I am also possibly making the trip to see the Hold Steady tonight, which should be a good night out I'd have thought. Whether I do or I don't expect to hear some of their stuff on the show.

I'm back this Sunday so expect all the usual stuff in round about the usual places. Motown Half Hour, Not Quite the Missing Words Quiz (prizes this week incidently are The Best of Suede and Screamadelica by Primal Scream - so if you fancy getting your hands on either one of them, tune in from 10.), true or false and my usual unerringly accurate weather reports. As well as all the other stuff that I can't be bothered to type out now. Tune in on Sunday to find out more.

This week, a few of us will also be taking part in a game for Mike Brown's show - I'm not entirely sure of the name of it but basically we're going around the area trying to get people to tune to Seaside FM, and we get points depending on how many we get,. But more so than that, you get the chance to meet a few of us and surely that's all the hype needed isn't it? Team Three is the one to watch, Me and Mike's producer Will. If you read Mike's Blog you will see I've not even been mentioned as taking part - nice to feel wanted isn't it? - but I will be there. Incidently, if anyone wants to help out and give us a few hints as to where to go that may yield us some points that would be much appreciated, I'll buy you an ice-cream or something afterwards, daveonseasidefm@hotmail.co.uk for any ideas please.

Right, that'll do I think.

See you on Sunday for more of the same.
