Hull has been home to Albert Draper & Son Ltd, metal reprocessors for four generations. First established by Albert Draper in 1922, it is still a family owned and managed business.

Drapers recover thousands of tonnes of metal by buying all grades of ferrous and non ferrous metal to crush, reprocess and sell on to other industries for re-use. This has included anything from a bicycle to a trawler, and a kettle to a steam engine.

A recent programme of new investment in staff, equipment and facilities has ensured continuing success and growth. Now operating from a purpose designed site at Black 5 Works just off Hedon Road, easy access is available from all directions including the Port of Hull Docks.We deal with large Blue Chip companies such as BP Chemicals, Smith & Nephew, Willerby Holiday Homes and Aalco, as well as much smaller businesses.

We can assure all our customers that our level of competency in dealing with metals such as iron, steel, copper, brass, lead, aluminium, cables and stainless steel is second to none.

We are fully compliant with the latest Health and Safety and environmental regulations working from our new purpose-built recycling facilty in Hull, East Yorkshire.
