Apologies, Apprentice and Holidays. This weeks Blog!!!!!!

Ah Hoy Hoy.

Firstly, no messing around, I apologise for Sunday's programme. Various problems occoured that I won't go into, unfortunately it left us without several important things, such as CD players and so we had to improvise as best we could. I think it sounded ok, and the emails and texts that were coming in seemed to be taking us down that route too, however, it wasn't as I'd have wished it, so my apologies.

Right, now that's out of the way, how are you? Excellent, glad to hear it. Im pretty good as well, enjoying Euro 2008 a great deal, although my pre-tournament tip of France seems to be falling to bits. But I did say watch out for Romania and Sweden to spring a couple of suprises so I'm not doing that badly I suppose.

What else is new? Apprentice final tonight, sadly I won't be able to watch it but if I can avoid the result I'll try and catch the repeat on Saturday, unfortunately, my friends aren't that nice so inevitabley someone will let it slip, particularly if they know that I'm trying to avoid it. Personally I think Claire will win it, although I'd ideally like none of them too, as they all annoy me in equal measure. Which brings us nicely onto Big Brother. Now, I know nothing at all about it, with the exception that they have a gentleman in there who is apparently a black albino, either I'm not clever enough, or not stupid enough to know what that means so I'll leave it there. Basically our show is a Big Brother free zone, and this is the only mention you will hear or read of it for the next 27 weeks or however long this series is going on for. One thing you may not know, is that eventhough MIke Brown mentioned that he may be going to Ambleside on his 2 week holiday, what he's actually doing is going into the Big Brother house for 10 days. He goes in on Sunday so be sure to tune in then!! I think he'll fit in rather well.

Apart from that, I saw Gone Baby Gone at the cinema last night. It's Ben Affleck directorial debut, (I always feel like a proper film reviewer when I use the word 'directorial') and it's good, not fantastic but a decent watch. There are a few gaping holes in the plot, and too many twists for everything to really add up, but it's entertaining. It is also chillingly similar to the McCanns and the Shannon Matthews stories, so much so that you can see why they delayed it for 6 months. Too close for comfort in a lot of cases.

And that is more or less all I have to say. If you would like to tell us what you have been up to, or what your thoughts are on any of the above, particularly Mike in the Big Brother house, then you can at daveonseasidefm@hotmail.co.uk

I am off for a short break down in London this weekend, where amongst other things I shall be seeing Daniel Kitson in Regents Park and frankly, I can't wait, so thank you in advance to Andy for covering. You can hear him with his excellent music choice between 10 and 2 this Sunday and I will be back next week.

So, until then...........
