Contractors have now almost completed footpath works along Main Street and Preston Lane, Bilton. Road resurfacing works are due to start on Monday, 15th Febuary and will take approximately four weeks, commencing at St Peter’s Church and extending towards Wyton Holmes Bridge.

To conduct this work safely, the road will be closed from St Peter's Church to Holmes Lane junction, with traffic diverted along Holmes Lane to Coniston and Swiss Cottage Roundabout. To ease the flow of diverted traffic there will be traffic lights at the end of Holmes Lane on the A165. During the closure, access will be maintained for residents, buses and emergency vehicles along Bilton Main Street. This phase will take approximatley two weeks.

Following this, works will continue between Holmes Lane junction and Wyton Holmes Bridge, which will be done under traffic lights with a convoy. The works will be undertaken between 07:30 and 17:00 and will continue throughout the weekend to minimise the length of time during which road users will inevitably be delayed.
