Frank Sidebottom creator Chris Sievey dies aged 54

Comedian Frank Sidebottom, real name Chris Sievey, has passed away at his home in Hale, Cheshire.
The TV star and stand-up was found collapsed at his house on Hawthorn Road by his girlfriend at 12.40am today, according to the Manchester Evening News. It is believed that he was still alive when he was taken to Wythenshawe Hospital in an ambulance, but he was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.

10,000 fans will make Dalby rock

Forest chiefs have put up the sold out signs on this year’s two mega outdoor concerts in Dalby Forest.
Keane (25 June) and Simply Red (26 June) will each play before capacity 5,000 crowds after the last few tickets were eagerly snapped up by music lovers.
The blockbuster demand has delighted organisers from the Forestry Commission who say that it underlines the emergence of the 8,600 acre woodland, near Pickering, as a top choice for bands and revellers alike.

Tribune Trust Supports Seaside FM105.3

The Trustees of the High Sheriffs’ & Humberside Police Tribune Trust have awarded a grant for £2,000 to the Seaside Community Radio Station based in Withernsea.
The High Sheriff of the East Riding of Yorkshire Mr Jonathan Hall presented the cheque for that amount to Station Manager Justin Macartney at 10.30 AM on Thursday 13 November in the resort.
