More Bins For East Riding Homes

More than 100,000 homes in East Yorkshire are to get another bin in an attempt to get residents to recycle garden waste. The brown bins, which are for grass cuttings, hedge and shrub trimmings, plants and flowers, should be rolled out in October.
The collected waste will be composted instead of being sent to landfill, just like in the recent rtrail programme in the Driffield and Haltemprice areas. 1,800 tonnes was collected in the first three months and in June, 31 per cent of waste collected was diverted from landfill.

Welwick questionnaire attracts a good response.

A recent questionnaire in the village of Welwick has attracted a 90% response from the parish.
Many of the responses referred to the poor quality and maintenance of the pathways, as well as to the speeding traffic through the villages.
Views were expressed in the questionnaire even where none were requested, demonstrating a desire that locals want their voices to be heard! Maybe they could air them here on Seaside FM?
